New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX)
New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) trades futures and options on precious metals, crude oil and oil products. NYMEX was acquired by the CME Group in August 2008. CME Group was formed by the merger in 2007 of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) and the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT). The CME and the CBOT trade a range of currency, equity index and agricultural commodity futures and option contracts.
