Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) was formed from the amalgamation of the Shanghai Metal Exchange,Shanghai Foodstuffs Commodity, and the Shanghai Commodity Exchange in December 1999. It is a non-profit-seeking incorporated body regulated by the China Securities Regulatory Commission.
