The Scrolling News component provides a display of streaming headlines.  Filter the results by selecting a specific news source or narrow down the result by searching for a specific headline.

 

Steps to Create a Scrolling News Feed

 

  1. Create a Scrolling News window by clicking the Scrolling News icon.
  2. Select create new page
  3. Select a data source from which the news stories will be displayed or choose "select all".  
  4. Save the Scrolling News page by clicking on the star. Give it a name and click save.

 

Add a News Source 

 

Add an addtional data source to your news feed by clicking on the +.

 

Select an addtional data source from the list provided and it is automatically added into your scrolling news feed.

  

Filter News by Headline Search

 

The headline search will filter the scrolling news feed to include only stories that contain the keyword you enter in the headline.

 

Simply click on the "Headline search" link.  Type in the desired keyword and click go.

 

 

 

Filter News by Body Search

 

The body search will filter the scrolling news feed to include only stories that contain the keyword you enter in the body of the news story.

Simply click on the "Body search" link.  Type in the desired keyword and click go.
