Oman Trading International selects GlobalView for its Data Management Solutions
(Chicago, IL – April 13, 2016) Oman Trading International (OTI) and GlobalView today announced that OTI has chosen GlobalView for its leading data management solutions. OTI will use GlobalView’s seamless direct interface with their Allegro® 8 ETRM solution to manage its oil and refined products trading business.
With GlobalView, OTI can directly access real-time, end of day, historical, and customer proprietary data available for analysis and manipulation within Allegro® 8. The combination of MarketView’s high quality data combined with the power of Allegro® ETRM Solution provides a powerful and flexible platform to manage risk, improve position analysis, improve trader productivity, and achieve higher accounting compliance.
Headquartered in Dubai and with operations across the globe, OTI sources, transports and markets natural resource products from around the globe. The company can locate, move, blend and deliver products always meeting the unique specifications and needs of each of its clients.
“We needed a high quality data solution for our Allegro Platform and found GlobalView’s API to be the best option,” said Said Al Maawali, VP Petchem and Business Development, OTI. “GlobalView’s direct interface with Allegro allowed for a quick and seamless delivery of high quality market data for our ETRM solution.”
“We are thrilled to have OTI as a customer,” adds Paul A. Bhatt, Managing Director at GlobalView. “GlobalVew continues to meet the needs of the leading producers and traders across Europe, the Middle East and globally with our innovative market data management solutions. The scope of OTI’s global operations was a natural fit for all parties involved.”
GlobalView is the only vendor that provides a common data framework for the front, mid, and back-office, improving communication and providing a single “golden source” of data to ensure that calculated and actual risk are the same. Its seamless integration with downstream risk and settlement systems also ensures that this benefit is passed on and reflected in a better verification of risk across an organization. These minimally invasive, SaaS-based solutions maintain a small footprint, are lightweight, and can be deployed in a matter of days not months.
