Major New Features
Connection Window
We added the connection window to the menu bar. It will include information about the connection status. Also, the features to change environments and for impersonation was moved from the formerly existing Authorization menu segment into this window.
Synchronization of data granularity between custom symbols and History table settings
We added a feature to inform the user if the data granularity of a Customer DataHub symbol does not match the data granularity settings for the History table.
If the user clicks “Yes” then the data granularity settings of the table will be set to the same data granularity as the selected symbol.
Smaller improvements
General: We removed the configuration item to activate/deactivate the Refresh button in the toolbar. It is now always visible.
General: We refreshed the layout of the Settings window.
Quote: The list of available fields in the “Select Quote Fields” window is now sorted alphabetically. Additionally we added a separate column to describe the data type of each field.
Table: An improved error message is shown if a user tries to upload data and the curve date is not set to an absolute date (but instead to “today” or “latest”).
Bug Fixes
General: The “Sphere” menu item that was introduced in the previous version was not visible in certain user configurations.
General: The installer links on the bottom of the Excel Tools Upgrade window for User and Admin installer were reversed.
General: If a new version was installed via the Excel Tools Upgrade window and if the user did not have sufficient privileges to do so then Excel Tools would crash.
General: If the admin install version of Excel Tools is installed and if the user would then install the user install version via the Upgrade window and select “Launch Excel after closing” then Excel Tools would not install correctly.
History: Data uploads were unsuccessful and an error message “Invalid key – Missing value” was shown when the “No header” option was selected for the History table.
Quote: The fields Ask Time, Ask Date, Bid Time, Bid Date, Trade Date, Trade Time and Trade Date/Time were no longer available for the Quote window for versions 4.6+.
Quote: Duplicate records were visible in the left side of the “Select Quote Fields” window after previously selected fields were deleted.
Table: The VBA function ExcelToolsUtils. UpdateTablesInWorksheet returned and error message if the curve table included empty cells.
MarketScript: Certain MarketScript formulas did not return the fields gv.fidGroup or gv.settleforclose.
MarketScript: The recently introduced hourly aggregation formula hagg did not display its data properly in Excel Tools.
